CBS Says ‘No” to Airing Medical Marijuana Ad During the Super Bowl

CBS will not accept a medical marijuana ad during the Super Bowl.

Cannabis company Acreage Holdings says it sent the network a rough outline of the proposed commercial and it was rejected.

The company says the network responded by saying: "CBS will not be accepting any ads for medical marijuana at this time.”

The spot called for medical marijuana to be legalized on the federal level.

A CBS rep says current CBS broadcast standards do not allow the network to accept cannabis-related advertising.
