Sooners, Cowgirls Softball Each To Host NCAA Regionals

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State softball both earned bids to host regionals on Sunday.

OU Softball earned the No. 2 overall seed and OSU Softball is the No. 5 overall seed.

The Sooners are three-time defending national champions and are hosting a regional for the 13th year in a row, according to soonersports.com.

The NCAA Regional will be at Love's Field from May 17-19. Cleveland State, Oregon and Boston University will join the Sooners, with the first game being against Cleveland State at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.

The Cowgirls start the Stillwater Regional on Friday at 4:30 p.m. against Northern Colorado. Kentucky and Michigan will also compete in the Stillwater Regional.

It's the fifth consecutive season the Cowgirls are hosting an NCAA Regional, according to okstate.com.
