14th Annual Tulsa Restaurant Weeks Kicks Off

The 14th annual Tulsa Restaurant Week kicks off Friday afternoon and will continue until September 13.

40 participating local restaurants have come up with special menus and pricing and a portion of those sales will go to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

Each year dozens of restaurants participate in Tulsa Restaurant Week to help raise money for the Community Food Bank of Oklahoma. The kick-off is Friday at 2 p.m. at Lambrusco’z on 41st and Peoria, but you can find a full list of all forty participating restaurants here.

Restaurant locations throughout Downtown Tulsa, Jenks, Broken Arrow, and more are doing their part to help kids and families that are in need, especially during this time of COVID-19 when so many are struggling.

Wendy Voss with the food bank said these restaurants that are participating are all so excited to be a part of a cause that gives back so much.

“It’s really important for the Tulsa community to have something to look forward to this year since it’s been a hard year and this is a great way to dine in or carry out there’s some way that everyone will be able to participate,” Voss said.

She said hey were surprised so many restaurants were willing to do the event this year since they have been struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She says they are overwhelmed by the huge support.

“It’s such a great way to support the food bank while also enjoying some good food, I’m just so happy people are stepping up again this year in such a big way,” Voss said.

The Bistro General Manager Michelle Hammer said they have participated in this event since year one and they always will because they are supporting a good cause.

“No matter what’s happening in the community or happening in the world like COVID-19, the charities and everything still need and even more so need support and funding none of that stuff stops. So I hope everyone comes to participate this year as much as they always have,” Hammer said.

Each restaurant has different menus and different price points along with a to-go curbside option for anyone who feels more comfortable eating at home.
